Purchased my 130 in July. I quickly learned how to operate the machine. I have the bag collector for clippings and leaves. Within a few minutes I was able to maneuver quickly and cut at least an hour off my mow time. Very pleased with the results.
Just go ahead and get a bigger mower, for the price it’s not worth it, constantly Boggs down when the grass is slightly wet
I loved my 22-year old Sears XLT-1000. Unfortunately it threw a rod and I needed to buy a new tractor/mower. I find the two foot pedals used to control forward and reverse motion annoying and non-intuitive to operate. Name one single car that uses such a convoluted control system? Compared to my old tractor, the new one seems top heavy. I am much more aware and concerned with mowing on non-level ground than with the Sears XLT-1000. And the situation gets worse as the high-mounter bagger accessory begins to fill up. I fear the thing is going to flip over sideways, and that’s not a confidence building feeling! I had the dealership replace the goofy oil filter system that comes standard on this model for a conventional oil filter and drain system so I change ALL the oil, not just a small percentage of it. And the cheap plastic hood and plastic hood-hinge are nothing to write home about either. I really regret not shopping more carefully before buying.

The John Deere S-130 was a gift from my family for father's day. I can't say enough about how this machine preforms and the ease to operate it. I use the lawn tractor most every day pulling my wagon around the property doing various chores. I firmly believe that my John Deere is the Cadillac of lawn tractors.
Lots of changes from the 12-year-old Snapper that I traded in. This machine is fun to drive and works reasonably well. It is a learning experience for me but a good one. While it is fast and cuts well, the vacuum pickup needs to be babied to do it's job.
Definitely a huge upgrade from my previous single cylinder machine. Smooth startup, very well balanced when on slopes and overall comfortable to operate.
